Six Month Update

I can’t believe we’ve had Madeline in our lives for more than six months now. In many ways it seems like she’s been there forever, but in many ways it’s still very new. She’s so much fun to have around – we’re loving watching her grow and change with each day.

Here’s a quick update:
• Born at 7 lbs, 2 oz., 18.25” long. Now: 13 lbs, 13 oz., and is 25.25” long. She’s a tiny girl.
• She can roll over tummy to back AND back to tummy. She doesn’t do it very often, and she’s still very surprised when she does it. I don’t think she’s quite figured out what she’s doing yet!
• She smiles all the time. Seriously, she wakes up smiling, and generally stays that way all day.
• Even with all of the smiling, she doesn’t really laugh out loud. You can tell she’s happy and having fun, but no giggles.
• She is really good at sitting. I think she’ll be sitting unsupported very soon.
• Not surprisingly, she loves to talk. She is always cooing and making noises (mostly “aah aah aah” – no other sounds quite yet).

For comparison, here's Madeline at one week:

And here she is at six months:

My, my. How they grow!
